Run It Back: SUDU Takes London With a 5K Shakeout Run

We made our debut in London – at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park!

On Thursday, July 11th, the SUDU Squad reached a significant milestone with our first-ever London event! Partnering with Riverside East in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, the evening was filled with excitement, community and, of course, running.

If you missed the action, no worries! We’re here to give you the lowdown on all the best moments from our first London Shakeout Run.

A Night of Many Firsts

This wasn't just any run, it was a celebration of new beginnings for the SUDU Squad.

We hosted our first-ever pop-up shop, giving guests and friends the chance to try on and buy the brand's latest running gear. The setting was unforgettable – a rooftop terrace with the iconic ArcelorMittal Orbit right overhead.

It was the perfect spot to kick off SUDU's journey in a city rich in sporting history, just a stone’s throw away from the 2012 Olympic venues and West Ham Stadium.

Time to Get Down to Business

Our resident DJ set the mood with some great tunes before over 100 runners gathered for a quick warm-up. We had pace groups for everyone, whether you were aiming for 5, 5.30 or 6 minutes per mile, so all abilities were covered. Once everyone was ready, we hit the ground running!

The bold SUDU colours really popped against the concrete backdrop of the Olympic Park, making sure our runners stood out and turned heads.

A Memorable Finish

20 minutes later, the first group returned to Riverside East, ready to cool down and refuel with some much-needed hydration from Lucky Saint.

Staying true to the SUDU spirit, the event wasn't just about running.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, creating an epic sunset, it was time to meet the amazing runners who came from all over to participate. We sparked some interesting conversations by asking runners what ‘resilience’ means to them. You can check out a cool highlight reel of their responses here.

Where Should We Go Next?

Our London debut was a blast! Thanks to everyone who showed up, we were blown away by the support, and it has the SUDU HQ team buzzing with excitement!
