Over the past year, SUDU has built a community based on shared values of resilience and respect of local communities which saw the launch of our community centric initiative, Project Fair Play in association with Sported.
With football being so intrinsic to our local communities based here in Manchester, we decided to put those communities front, and centre of our campaign to celebrate the launch of our new category, PLAY.
About The Campaign
"Play without Limits” celebrates the transformative power of football and the inspiring stories of those who have discovered their inner strength and resilience through the sport.
It highlights how football can empower individuals to overcome adversity, build community, and find their place. Authenticity is one our values here at SUDU and what is more authentic than using real people who share passion, drive and commitment for their local communities.
the process
In collaboration with Sported, we launched a casting call that reached over 50 Manchester-based groups, inviting them to express what 'PLAY' meant to them via video submissions. The sheer volume and quality of applications were inspiring. However, it was the powerful narratives and fundamental purposes of Rushford Park and Cuki FC that ultimately led us to select them for the campaign.
the reward
Each group received a £5,000 grant from Project Fair Play. This funding will be reinvested directly into their clubs, subsidising location costs to make playing more accessible and equitable for local communities. Both Rushford Park and Cuki FC now proudly represent SUDU, wearing the collection during training. Furthermore, SUDU's commitment extends beyond this campaign; we will continue to support these clubs in future programs and welcome even more clubs in the near future.
shoot day
Throughout the day, we captured the special moment these two local clubs, who had never connected before, came together and created something truly magical. Watch the behind-the-scenes footage below.
