a race to inclusivity
At SUDU, we believe in the power of kindness and humility, which is why we're proud to be supporting local sports communities from the grassroots all the way up to the global stages.
As a Levy brand, Fair Play is a core value that’s been ingrained in SUDU since day one. Our commitment to these values isn't just a selling point, it's fundamental to our brand identity. We reflect Levy's promise to supporting local communities, partnering with charities and ensuring all SUDU products are ethically sourced.
We're launching Project Fair Play in partnership with Sported, the UK’s largest network of community groups, helping over 550,000 young people overcome barriers to reach their potential.
firstly, why sported?
It's simple. We share the same goals. They're all about inclusivity, diversity and giving everyone a fair shot at the game, and we're on the same page when it comes to making a real difference.
Running through the details
Out of the 3,000 member groups Sported represent, only 50 focus on running.
Through our partnership, we will actively seek out and support more running-based groups, onboarding them as official Sported community groups eligible for funding grants.
To ensure a broader and more impactful reach, we're committing additional resources to support Project Fair Play, with investment that goes beyond the mentioned grants and includes further initiative aimed at maximising the effectiveness of our partnership with Sported.
Additionally, we will commission and fund a research and insights project to explore the disparity between running and other sports. The funding allocated to this research will ensure that we develop a comprehensive plan to address these gaps and enhance accessibility for all running groups.
Our contribution to Sported will not only help build communities but also champion mental health and wellbeing and create a safe space for young people in some of the most deprived areas in the country. Ultimately, it will empower dreams to take flight with the tools, equipment and insights they need.
on the path to our mission
Project Fair Play aims to make running accessible and fair for everyone.
Through this programme, we’re committed to creating opportunities to make running more accessible for young people across Greater Manchester.
In Year One, our goal is to enable an estimated 1,000 young people from these communities to participate in running, supported by grant programmes and a research and insights initiative.
For those who keep their community running
If you’re part of a community group with running at its heart, we want to hear from you!
As part of the SUDU x Sported Project Fair Play, we’re offering seven grants of £1,000 each to running groups that can demonstrate that they’re actively addressing three out of five societal issues outlined by Sported.
In addition to our seven £1,000 grants, we will also be funding one Deep Impact Grant to support an existing Manchester-based Sported community group.
maybe you're a sudu supporter?
Then here’s how you can join the race towards fairness for all: For every £1 you spend on SUDU products, you'll earn 1 SUDU Sweat Point. As you collect these points, you can cash them in for brand credit, which you can redeem on a future SUDU purchase or donate to Sported.
Either way, by simply supporting SUDU, you’re helping us make dreams come true – so thank you.
